The RV Halo app lets you easily manage the internet connection for your Winegard connectivity device. Here's how to connect to a WiFi network:
Prerequisites:
- You have a compatible Winegard connectivity device (Gateway, Gateway Pro, Gateway 5G, or ConnecT 2.0+)
- The device is powered on
- You have the RV Halo app installed and your device is added to the app.
- You are within range of the desired WiFi network
Steps
- Open the RV Halo app.
- Tap on your Winegard device from the list of available devices.
- Tap on "Internet Source."
- Select "Wi-Fi" from the list of available options. If WiFi is not the current source, the Winegard will stop broadcasting its network while changing the internet source. Wait a minute and check that you are reconnected to the Winegard wireless network before proceeding.
- If no saved networks are in range, tap the gear icon on the Wi-Fi line. The system will search for available networks.
- Select the desired WiFi network from the list.
- Enter the network password (if required) and tap "Connect."
- The app will confirm when the connection is successful.
Important Notes:
- You may need to disconnect from the Winegard wireless network to connect to an external WiFi network.
- Ensure the WiFi network you're trying to connect to has a strong and stable signal.
- If you encounter issues connecting, try rebooting your Winegard device and checking the WiFi network password.
- For further assistance submit a Support Ticket.
By following these steps, you can easily switch your Winegard device's internet source to a WiFi network using the RV Halo app, giving you flexibility and control over your RV's connectivity.
