The RV Halo app lets you conveniently manage the cellular connection on your compatible Winegard device, providing internet access while you're on the go. This guide will walk you through the process.
Prerequisites:
- You have a compatible Winegard connectivity device (Gateway, Gateway Pro, Gateway 5G, or ConnecT 2.0+) with a built-in cellular modem.
- You have an active cellular data plan associated with your device.
- You have the latest version of the RV Halo app installed on your smartphone or tablet.
Steps to Connect to Cellular:
- Open the RV Halo App
- Select your Winegard device: Tap on your device from the list of available devices.
- Navigate to Internet Source: Tap on "Internet Source".
- Choose Cellular: Select "Cellular" from the available options.
- Confirm: Tap "Confirm" to initiate the switch to cellular.
- Wait for Connection: The app will indicate when the connection is successful. This might take a few moments.
Important Notes:
- Data Plan: Ensure you have an active data plan before attempting to connect to cellular. You can purchase data plans directly through the RV Halo app.
- Signal Strength: The strength and quality of your cellular connection will depend on your location and network coverage.
- Troubleshooting: If you encounter issues connecting, try rebooting your Winegard device.
How to Configure Cellular Settings:
- Open the RV Halo App
- Select your Winegard device
- Select "Internet Source"
- Tap the gear icon next to "Cellular"
- Set the provider for the SIM card. For units with multiple SIM slots, this will automatically change the active SIM.
- Confirm your selection.
- Tap "OK" when prompted.
- Select "Cellular" in the "Internet Source" selector.
