The following troubleshooting steps can be taken to resolve the "No ODU Comm" error on the Winegard Trav'ler Pro:
Power Cycle the IDU and Reconnect Cables:
- Unplug the power cord from the back of the IDU.
- Disconnect the 6-wire cable from the Power-Comm port.
- Wait 10 seconds, then reconnect the cable.
- Reconnect the power cord and allow the IDU to power on.
- Check if the error is resolved.
Disconnect and Reconnect the Data Cable on the Roof:
- If the error persists, gather a 5/16" wrench and an adjustable wrench.
- Unplug the power cord from the IDU.
- Access the roof of the vehicle.
- Use the 5/16" wrench to remove the 4 screws securing the cover plate.
- Disconnect the data cable, wait 5 seconds, and then reconnect it.
- If needed, loosen the gray nut on the data cable using the adjustable wrench.
- Retighten the gray nut, replace the cover plate, and reconnect the IDU's power cord.
- Check if the error is cleared.
Replace the ODU and IDU:
- If the "No ODU Comm" error continues, the ODU and IDU likely need replacement.
- Submit a Support Ticket for further assistance with parts replacement.
If the error is resolved after any of these steps, the customer can resume normal use of the system. If the issue continues even after replacing the ODU and IDU, submit a Support Ticket to Winegard customer support for further assistance is recommended.
