Winegard ConnecT 2.0: Swapping the SIM Card

Before you Begin:

  • Power Down: Turn off your Winegard ConnecT 2.0 or disconnect it from the power source.
  • Gather Supplies: You'll need your new SIM card and a Phillips screwdriver to remove the SIM plate cover.

Locating the SIM Card Slot:

The SIM card slot on the Winegard ConnecT 2.0 is located on the exterior of the system behind a clear SIM plate cover. This location is consistent across all ConnecT 2.0 models.

Accessing the SIM Card Slot:

  1. Locate the clear SIM plate cover on the exterior of your ConnecT 2.0.
  2. Use the Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screw(s) securing the SIM plate cover.
  3. Carefully remove the cover and set it aside.

Ejecting the Old SIM Card:

  1. With the SIM plate cover removed, you'll see the SIM card slot. It will be spring-loaded.
  2. Gently press the SIM card inward until it clicks and ejects slightly from the slot.
  3. You can easily remove the SIM card by hand.

Inserting the New SIM Card:

  1. Determine the correct orientation for the new SIM card. The side with the gold contact area should face down when inserted, notched end will insert first.
  2. Carefully insert the new SIM card into the slot, ensuring it's fully seated and aligned correctly.
  3. You should feel a click when the SIM card is inserted properly.

Reassemble and Power On:

  1. Place the SIM plate cover back onto the ConnecT 2.0, aligning the screw holes.
  2. Use the Phillips screwdriver to tighten the screw(s) securing the SIM plate cover.
  3. Power on your Winegard ConnecT 2.0 by either reconnecting the power cable to its power source or turning the power switch back on (depending on your setup).
