Winegard Router Software: A Guide to Software Versions

Winegard Router Software: A Guide to Software Versions

Winegard routers, essential for RV and mobile connectivity, require up-to-date software (firmware) for optimal performance and feature access. Here's how to navigate the available versions:

Understanding Available Software Versions

Winegard router software is model and hardware specific. The main models are:

  1. 1st Generation Connect
  2. ConnecT 2.0/Connect 2.0 5G
  3. Gateway/Gateway 5G

ConnecT 2.0 and Gateway routers can have different hardware versions internally:

  • Atheros
  • Aztech

Identifying Your Hardware Version

  • Check the Default SSID: The last 6 characters of your router's default SSID (e.g., Winegard2ghzD36917) indicate the hardware:
    • Starts with "D": Atheros board
    • Starts with "C": Aztech board
