Winegard Trav'ler: How to Perform a Manual Satellite Search

Important Note: Before starting a manual search, make sure you know the satellite name.

  1. Power On and Access the User Menu:

    • Press and hold the "POWER" button for two seconds until the interface displays "POWER ON."
    • Press and hold "ENTER" for two seconds.
    • The interface will ask if you want to enter the user menu.
    • Use the "SELECT" button to move the asterisks to "YES", then press "ENTER"
  2. Navigate to the Search Mode:

    • The user menu will be displayed, offering options like Search Mode, Diagnostics, Installation, and Exit.
    • Press "ENTER" to select "Search Mode."
  3. Choose Manual Search:

    • In the Search menu, you'll have options like Multi-Sat Mode (normal search), Manual 101, ETC., Main Menu, and Exit.
    • Use the "SELECT" button to move the asterisks to the desired manual satellite option and press "ENTER."
  4. Confirm and Initiate Search:

    • The interface will ask you to confirm the change to manual mode. Press "SELECT" to move the asterisks to "Yes," then press "ENTER."
    • The interface will acknowledge the satellite selection. Press "ENTER."
    • The interface will ask if you want to turn the power off. Press "ENTER" to choose "No" and start the search.
    • The antenna will now be in manual mode until you select "Multi-Sat Mode" again.
